A Passion for Hearing
Dr. M. Miles Goldsmith is the founder of Rejoice Hearing Systems and a practicing neurotologist. His lifelong passion is providing more affordable hearing solutions to those who are hearing impaired.
Dr. Goldsmith left his faculty appointment at The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions in 1989 and returned home to his native Savannah, Georgia. After his neurotology fellowship under Dr. Malcolm Graham, Dr. Goldsmith co-founded the Georgia Ear Institute and The International Center for Otologic Training (ICOT). Over the past 20 years, ICOT has trained over 300 otologists from 52 countries within the developing world. More recently, Dr. Goldsmith founded The AllHear Foundation with a mission to provide free hearing aids to deaf children in the developing world.
In 2003, Dr. Goldsmith patented the Trans Canal Cochlear Implant System, a far more affordable and less invasive cochlear implant. Dr. Goldsmith also founded ICOT Hearing Systems, a leading provider of affordable hearing aids and personal sound amplifiers in the USA.
Dr. Goldsmith and his wife Ruth have been married for over 35 years. Mrs. Goldsmith serves as the President of Rejoice Hearing Systems. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law, has served on numerous community boards, and regularly participates in AllHear Foundation mission trips.
The Goldsmiths reside in Savannah, Georgia, and have three adult sons, four dogs, and two cats.
